Hello there, another Monster Love card!  I used this adorable digi set from Sunsational Stamps earlier in the month.  You can browse their shop by clicking Here.

Monster-ous Hello Card

This one I colored with alcohol markers and then used blender solution saturated onto a paper towel to press onto my little monster to give his fur some texture.  I used a heart stencil that I created using a die and then sponged on Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick, then sprinkled it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.  It turned out looking like vinyl, which was a happy accident!

I hope you can see the details in the above picture.  The HELLO was cut out four times in the black cardstock so I could build a nice thick greeting, and then I added clear Wink of Stella to make it shimmer.  The final touch was to add three black sequins.  This was added to a black card base and the inside greeting is “Sending you Warm Fuzzies”

I colored the balloon with alcohol markers.  The sand bag and little tassels on the balloon were colored with gold Wink of Stella.  I cut a couple of clouds out of masking paper and sponged on Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky.  I added gold shimmer tape from Close To My Heart to the sides of the card base and added the colored panel.  Finally I die cut a heart border out of Doodlebug red glitter paper to add just under the sentiment.

I am entering this in the Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge 171- Pops of Pink and you can enter your creations by clicking on this Link or just pop over to see some of their inspiration.

Alcohol Marker, Glossy Accents, Raisin Boat Stamps, ShinHan, Sunny Studios, Wink of Stella

Season’s Greetings!  I needed a kitty Christmas card for my friend so I used my Raisin Boat’s Naughty or Nice stamp set.  There is an adorable cat pawing at an ornament that just screamed “Use Me!”…So I did! The hysterical sentiment was also from this set.  “Christmas tree…the reason cats need 9 lives”  😀

I colored him in with my ShinHan alcohol markers and I used Sunny Studio Stamps pine branch from the Holiday Style stamp set for the extra branches (which I stamped super lightly in Pear ink that had been stamped off twice) and I added flicks with my alcohol markers to give it interest.  I used this stamp on the inside of the card as well and used a CTMH sentiment stamp.

I stamped the pine boughs in CTMH Pear ink and the sentiment both on the front and inside with CTMH Cranberry ink.  I went over the ornament with my Wink of Stella and topped it off with Glossy Accents to give it dimension.  I mounted this on red cardstock that  was added to a piece of holly patterned paper I had in my stash.  Oh, I almost forgot I also put a strip of white Shimmer Tape from Close To My Heart across the front to add some sparkle. I LOVE that stuff!

I decided to enter this in three current challenges, the first one for the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #9 that you can access Here and the Color My Heart Color Dare Extravaganza Color Dare #272 for Traditional colors, that you can access Here.  Third, 4 Crafty Chicks blog challenge #381 Christmas/Winter Critters Here

Black Soot, Distress Oxide Ink, Eerie Night Stamp Set, Honey Bee Stamps, Raisin Boat Stamps, Seedless Preserves, Sunsational Stamps, Wilted Violet, Wink of Stella

Boo to you all, today I have a shaker card featuring Sunsational Stamps Spooktacular Halloween set, and you can find it Here.  The image I used from this set was the silhouette of a witch and her kitty on a broom.

For the back panel I used Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink to color an area for the moon.  I fussy cut out the witch and glued her to the center of the moon.

The front panel I began by heat embossing a scary tree from my Raisin Boat Eerie Night set (they are back in production!) in black.  I sponged on Distress Oxide inks using Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Black Soot.  Then I flicked water onto the background and let it sit a minute before I blotted it dry with a paper towel.

I die cut out a 2″ circle for the moon/shaker opening, cover it with acetate, filled it with stars and tiny iridescent beads from Honey Bee Stamps and added foam tape to build up the shaker layer and then put the two layers together.

I added a few bats from the same Raisin Boat set and added Wink of Stella to them ( I don’t think the photo is picking up that sparkle).  And finally I added the Happy Halloween sentiment from the Sunsational set, hand drew in a spider web and called it done.

We are also entering the Creatalicious Challenge #124, so take a peek at their entries as well.

Alcohol Marker, Art Philosophy, Bazzill, Close To My Heart, Copic, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Honey Bee Stamps, Lawn Fawn, Nuvo Crystal Drops, Ranger, Sunsational Stamps, Wink of Stella

Sweet greetings to y’all, today I made an anniversary card for my hubby.  I used the adorable Woodsy Critters digi set from Sunsational Stamps that you can get Here. This set is packed with many adorable images…critters and their accessories.  🙂

I chose the bear…as you can tell from previous posts, I am partial to bears.  I colored him with Copic markers.  I also colored and die cut some adorable bees and hearts from one of my favorite Honey Bee Stamp sets Busy Bees and the sentiment was from the Bee-You-tiful Sentiments set, which I embossed with an older Ranger embossing powder in Lettuce Green.  The hive was made using two kinds of hearts from the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The tree branch was actually the tree from my Elizabeth Craft Designs die All Seasons Tree.  I am famous for using die cuts in a non traditional way…I like to get the most bang for my buck!

I added Wink of Stella shimmer to the bees wings and the hearts.  I used Ebony Nuvo Drops for his eyes.  I LOVE the look on his adorable little face.

I used a Lawn Fawn landscape die on some Bazzill cardstock in green (sorry, I forgot to take note of the color name) added that to sky blue cardstock.  Mounted that onto a piece of Kraft cardstock and put the whole kit-n-kaboodle onto the card base.  I forgot to mention that I had popped up the “beehive” and I did not adhere the leaves down, just the stem so the leaves have a little dimension.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Please follow the blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Alcohol Marker, Cracked Pistachio, Distress Oxide Ink, Salty Ocean, Wink of Stella, YNS Challenge 68, Your Next Stamp

Just popping in for a quick card I made today.  I used the adorable YNS Bitty Bugs for the YNS Challenge #68 (that link takes you right there!)  I went with the color challenge with my card.  The background is my Distress Oxide Inks in Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio…and I spattered it with water, that is the fun part!

Bitty Bugs Card

Close-up of the cute little bugs

I cut the clouds using the Spring Showers Lawn Cuts by Lawn Fawn and the grass border is also Lawn Fawn (I think…)  I colored these adorable bugs with my alcohol markers, stamped the sentiment inside one of my clouds, added Wink of Stella on the insect wings and called it complete!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out Your Next Stamp blog, they have some great inspiration!

Artbooking, Bo Bunny, Copic, Cricut, Spectrum Noir, Sunsational Stamps, Wink of Stella

Howdy-do!  Today I decided to do a scrapbook layout.  I have been so busy making cards lately that I haven’t had much time for my first passion…scrapbooking.

I recently came across some pictures of our family at a local fireworks festival.  A polo field near our home has a fireworks display every year and we prefer to park at the church across the street from the field than park in the polo field…it can be quite messy.

Fireworks Couple Layout

First I printed out the Fireworks Couple digi image from Sunsational Stamps and colored it with my Copic markers.  I used a Wink of Stella gold and a Spectrum Noir blue shimmer pens for the fireworks, for that extra something, something!

Fireworks Couple Layout Close-up

I cut the layout mats using my Artbooking Cricut cartridge.  I cut extra stars, numbers, letters and little rockets using the same cartridge.  The foundation is Bazzill paper and the center anchoring strip is Bo Bunny.  This is going to end up being a two page layout, so I will post the other page when I have it completed.

I hope you enjoyed our layout today, and we would love it if you would like us on Facebook, follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Amy Tangerine, Close To My Heart, CTMH, Doodlebug Designs, eBosser, Lawn Fawn, Memento Inks, MFT, Nuvo Crystal Drops, Raisin Boat Stamps, Tonic Studios, Versamark, Wink of Stella

Hello, today I had to make cards for a couple of friends that are struggling with difficult life issues.  The style of the cards I created lend themselves to really any occasion.  They can easily be adapted for birthday, congrats or sympathy, just by changing up the sentiment and color choice.  I did not want these cards to be maudlin, I wanted them to lift the spirits without being silly or too light-hearted.

Hi, Thinking of You

Inside of Hi card

This first card I used Raisin Boat Growing Love stamp set that I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Pacifica Blue ink from CTMH for the berries and graphic blooms.  I stamped twice so I could get two shades of blue and I LOVE the lighter version, it is so pretty.  I added Nuvo Crystal Drops by Tonic Studios in Navy to add dimension and interest to a few of the blooms.  The HI die cut is from MFT, I got it free with a promotion, and you all know I love promos!  I cut it several times in Beetle Black cardstock by Doodlebug, glued all the layers together and topped it off with clear Wink of Stella, and dotted my “I” with an enamel dot.  I finished the top layer off with a piece of ribbon from my stash (that looks like it was made just for this card) and added that layer to the card base.

For the inside of that card I used Lawn Fawn‘s Scripty Sayings and added a little butterfly stamp from a CTMH set, layered that on black and called it done!

Floral Hugs

Inside of Floral Hugs

My Floral Hugs card was created using one of the blooms from the same Raisin Boat set Growing Love.  I stamped the flower in Terra Cotta ink from CTMH and then re-stamped it using Versamark ink.  I then sprinkled clear embossing powder on the images and hit it with the heat tool.  I ran the paper with the images through my eBosser using a CTMH confetti embossing folder.  I fussy cut out the flowers and set aside.  I then cut a piece of Amy Tangerine paper I have had FOR…EVER on a bit of an angle and adhered it to the card base.  I added the flowers to cover up the seam and stamped Big HUG in Terra Cotta ink from my CTMH Big Hugs stamp set.

For the inside I stamped off that same flower in the Terra Cotta to make a much lighter version and then stamped Thinking of You from the CTMH Seaside Greetings stamp set (also in Terra Cotta).  I layered that panel onto the Amy Tangerine patterned paper, added it to the inside of the card and Voila!

I hope you enjoyed the cards for today.  Please follow our blog by clicking on the ‘Follow Me’ button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Doodlebug Designs, Lawn Fawn, Scripty Thanks, Sunsational Stamps, Wink of Stella

Greetings!  Today’s card serves a double purpose, it is a thank you card for my dear friend who treated me to my half-birthday lunch.  tee hee….. Any excuse to go to lunch, right?!

The second reason for the “Thank You” is to the fabulously talented Lisa and Janet from Sunsational Stamps for giving me a wonderfully fun seven months on their very creative design team.  Today marks my departure due to extra responsibilities at work…sigh.  I am hoping this is a temporary situation so I am looking forward to this chapter, with hopes I will be able to manage the time necessary to re-join at a later date.

Thanks a Bunch card

Thanks a Bunch card

On to the details of card…  I used the lovely image Bouquet Of Flowers by Sunsational Stamps. I added some details to the flowers and a little shimmer using Wink of Stella.  I die cut ‘Thanks’ using the Scripty Thanks by Lawn Fawn, I cut it once using gold embossed cardstock (left over from a previous project) and an additional two times using plain white cardstock to give it more depth, then added it to some pink grosgrain ribbon and mounted all of this onto Doodlebug’s Orchid cardstock.

Thanks A Bunch card, close-up

Buzzing by to say hi!  Today is my third in the series of old school style Valentines.  I used Bee Mine from Sunsational Stamps, it is so adorable and old-school that I could not resist!

Completed Bee Mine Valentine

Completed Bee Mine Valentine

IMG_2191

I punched two holes for adding a lollipop to this classic old-school design.  The design itself was colored using ShinHan alcohol markers, clear Wink of Stella on the wings and black Wink of Stella on the bee’s stripes and words.  The word ‘FROM’ was stamped using CTMH Typeface stamp set and the bow was crepe paper ribbon I have had in my stash for…ever.  I added a lollipop and it is already in a box of goodies on it’s way to one of my besties!

I hope you enjoyed todays card and we would love it if you would follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and Like us on Facebook so you don’t miss a thing!
