Howdy-do!  Today I decided to do a scrapbook layout.  I have been so busy making cards lately that I haven’t had much time for my first passion…scrapbooking.

I recently came across some pictures of our family at a local fireworks festival.  A polo field near our home has a fireworks display every year and we prefer to park at the church across the street from the field than park in the polo field…it can be quite messy.

Fireworks Couple Layout

First I printed out the Fireworks Couple digi image from Sunsational Stamps and colored it with my Copic markers.  I used a Wink of Stella gold and a Spectrum Noir blue shimmer pens for the fireworks, for that extra something, something!

I cut the layout mats using my Artbooking Cricut cartridge.  I cut extra stars, numbers, letters and little rockets using the same cartridge.  The foundation is Bazzill paper and the center anchoring strip is Bo Bunny.  This is going to end up being a two page layout, so I will post the other page when I have it completed.

I hope you enjoyed our layout today, and we would love it if you would like us on Facebook, follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Hello Friend(s), today is the beginning of meteorological autumn, so to celebrate the harvests and the colors I thought I would make a card for a friend…a “just because” card.  I used the Sunsational Stamps Going Nuts set and picked out just the squirrel with the pumpkin & sunflower image.

I used Bazzill Basics Kraft Collection as the base and topped it off with CTMH Shimmer Tape in Bronze and Black.  I added the Hello Friend banner from the Jillibean Soup, Soup Labels.  I colored the image with a combination of ShinHan, Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I cut a mask for the image and sponged Tumbled Glass Distress ink for the sky and Peeled Paint Distress ink for the grass.

Giddy Up little horsey…or should I say Seahorsey?!  We had a fabulous time at the Scrapbook Expo this past weekend at the Pheasant Run Mega Center in St. Charles Illinois.  We learned some new techniques and got some sneak peeks at some new products.  We attended a Mega Make-n-Take crop the first night and we made a boatload of projects.  (I am sorry, I am on a water pun kick today…you will see why in a minute).  Needless to say we crafted, created and shopped until we dropped.

Here is one of the make and takes we made, sponsored by Bee Creative and Spectrum Noir markers.  We used IB1 and IB3 on this Seahorse.  I added a black pearl gem for the eye and turquoise and crystal stickles on the fin.  I also added a Close To My Heart Noted Canvas Shapes and stamped the sentiment with Desert Sand and distressed the edges as well.  The polka dot ribbon was colored with the IB3 marker.

I had a wonderful time at the expo catching up with old friends, learning new techniques and most of all Mommy & Me time with my beautiful daughter.

I hope you enjoy today’s project.  Keep on Scrappin’!!!!
