Cheerio! Today’s post is centered around a birthday gift of relaxation. My Bestie from ‘way back when’ had a birthday recently and she happens to be a tea fanatic. She also is a bit frazzled with work. So her gift was a no-brainer! Tea, a relaxing candle & card. 🙂
Ingredients to make a Tea House.
The Tea House was so fun to make. I used Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge, which cuts all sorts of fun boxes to hold treats and surprises. I cut the small sweet shop box and filled it with a variety of tea bags.
Finished Sweet Box – Tea House
Cut two of these to form a box
Score at the tic marks that the Cricut makes in the cutouts. Attach only at one side, to make decorating easier.
Add window frames, grass, plants and door. Be sure to add brad for the door knob before adhering to the base.
(Inside of Tea House) Use strong adhesive, such as Score Tape to assemble the box.
Details of the Tea House
Wouldn’t a nice candle be just the right touch?? I thought so too 🙂
Have a happy day.
The top has a cutout heart, highlighted with a twine outline. Alas, the picture was too blurry to post.
Finally I need to add a card so I can tell her how much her friendship means to me.
Elizabeth Craft Design outline stickers.
Alcohol markers colored on micro fine glitter paper
Finished Teapot prior to fussy cutting it out.
I used ShinHan alcohol markers to color white ribbon in an ombre effect.
I cut “labels” out using my Cricut Art Philosophy, sizing one a quarter inch larger. Adhere ribbon to bottom label, teapot to top label and attach with pop dots.
Embossed base of card.
Interior of card stamped with CTMH You Mean The World To Me stamp set.
