Howdy all, hoping everyone is staying warm.

Today at Scrap Your Stash we are remixing a fab layout and this is my spin on it.

Love Bandits

I really used a great mix of my stash, including paper from Bella Blvd, Close To My Heart and a huge pad called Newsworthy.  I used dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs and Kat Scrappiness.  Alphas from my stash and rub ons from Doodlebug Designs.  Topped it off with some gems and hearts from above mentioned companies.

Below is the great design we scraplifted it from.  We would love to have you play along and join our challenge.  Please head over to Scrap Your Stash

i hope you enjoyed today’s project inspiration and I would love if you followed us so you don’t miss a thing!

Hello everyone, today I made a card for my sister-in-law, who is battling cancer.  I send her cards quite often to lift her spirits.  The card today was also my Design Team submission for Creative With Stamps Challenge.  November’s challenge is “Feathers“.  I have wanted to use this fabulous stamp set I received from Unity Stamps named Her Own Hero.  This sentiment is so wonderful to honor any lady that is fighting any type of personal fight.

She Needed a Hero

I stamped the feather stamp in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then watercolored the feathers and the background using ZIG Clean Color Brush markers and a water brush.  I spritzed the watercolor panel with Perfect Pearls mixed in water to give the design some sparkle.  I mounted the watercolor paper panel onto a black mat and mounted that onto a white card base.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, popped it up with foam tape and added Doodlebug enamel dots and called it done!

Please follow the link Here to the Creative With Stamps Challenge blog so you can play along with our challenge, remember you can enter anything with a Feather theme, and we can’t wait to see what you create!

Happy Autumn greetings! Today’s card is for the Creative With Stamps September Challenge, which is PUMPKINS!

I used the Newton’s Nook Falling For You stamp set and Doodlebug’s Friendly Forest patterned paper.

First I stamped the sentiment on watercolor paper with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink and sprinkled it with clear embossing powder, then I heat set it.  I sponged on Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry, overlapping them slightly to get an orange color also.  I trimmed the panel and rounded corners on that as well as the patterned mat and card base.  I layered the patterned paper onto a kraft card base and the watercolor panel onto a kraft mat, attached them together.

I stamped multiple pumpkins from this set, colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them out. I added foam squares to pop the pumpkins up a bit.

Please follow the link Here to the Creative With Stamps Challenge blog so you can play along with our challenge, remember you can enter anything with a Pumpkin theme, and we can’t wait to see what you create!

Salutations!  Today is my first post as a member of the fabulous Creative With Stamps Design Team and I am super excited.  It is also Creative With Stamps 2nd Anniversary!  The sponsor of this month’s challenge is Pattie’s Creations Digital Stamps, and I used her Black-eyed Susan digi.  I decided to make them into Purple Cornflowers, but that just shows how versatile these beautiful images are.

Pattie’s Creations Digital Stamps Black-eyed Susan

I colored this beautiful digital stamp with my alcohol markers and then sponged on Tea Dye Distress Ink as well as Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  I cut the card base using a large postage stamp die, but I first folded my cardstock in half, positioning the top part of the die above the top of the fold, this creates the postage stamp shaped card base.

I used the two larges frame dies by Elizabeth Craft Designs (they are retired and I don’t remember the name) to cut out a dark brown cardstock frame to make the image pop.  I added a bow using Doodlebug Baker’s Twine and popped the image up onto the card base using foam tape.  I added my sentiment and called it done.  🙂

Please stop by the challenge and link up one of your creations following the theme of CAS with a sentiment, by clicking Here.  We can’t wait to see the projects you come up with!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card, thank you for stopping by, please follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Hello there!  Today I was working on Valentines, one of my favorite cards to make 🙂  I used the adorbs digi set from Sunsational Stamps called Monster Love.  There are so many cute monsters and saying in this set, I am going to make a bunch of valentines with each one!

Monster Love Valentine Card

I printed out the monsters and chose this one-eyed fuzzy one.  I colored him with three of my green Copics, flicking toward the center, working from dark to light, to try to give the illusion of fur.

I die cut the word LOVE and some hearts from Doodlebug glitter paper that has a tone on tone chevron pattern.  I glued those onto a black card base.  I stamped the word YOU in VersaMark, added white embossing powder and heat set it.  I added a googly eye to the monster and popped him up over the O in love.

Please head on over to our February Challenge by clicking Here and enter your own Valentine for a chance to win.  You also can download a free Digi when you head on over.

I am super excited to be entering my card in the Creative With Stamps Challenge #23, you can access their blog Here to enter your creation or just to get some fabulous inspiration!  The second challenge I entered my card in is Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and you can find the link to that Here and the third challenge is with 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #11… they allow make-believe and fantasy type critters as well there, so I figured a monster was ok with them.  You can wander over there by clicking on the link Here.  The forth challenge is with Word Art Wednesday Challenge #321 that you can get to by clicking Here.

I hope you enjoyed todays card, thank you for stopping by, please follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagramso you don’t miss a thing!

@newtonsnook, Alcohol Marker, Beetle Black, Black Soot, Distress Inks, Distress Oxide Ink, Doodlebug Designs, K&Co., Newton's Nook, Sizzix, Stampin' UP!, Sunsational Stamps, Twisted Citron

Howl are you doing?  Hehe…  Well, Halloween is only a couple of days away, so I am wrapping up October with two more cards.  The first one was inspired by Amy Rysavy of Prairie Paper & Ink fame.  She wrapped a piece of cardstock with Microspore tape for her puppy mummy card, so I could not resist to adapt my version.

I used Newton’s Nook Boo Crew stamp set.  I colored Winston with alcohol markers, fussy cut him out and mounted him on my microspore tape wrapped cardstock, this in turn was matted on Doodlebug Beetle Black cardstock.  The base is made with Doodlebug October 31st patterned paper line (the line is so stinkin’ cute!)

Mummy Bear Card

The inside sentiment was stamped with a Sunsational Stamps Happy Halloween set.  The card base was made with Doodlebug Grass Green cardstock.  I believe the ribbon was from K&Co…but I have had it for so long, I can’t be sure.

The second card was made using Stampin’ Up’s Frightening Feline stamp.  I stamped it with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink onto black cardstock and clear heat embossed it.  I was going for a bit of a fluorescent look.

Scaredy Cat Card

I created a shaker and framed the shaker window with Doodlebug patterned paper from the October 31st line.  I used many embellishments from K&Co.  The bottom of the card was created with a piece of gray cardstock that I embossed with a brick Sizzix folder and I distressed it randomly with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I hope today’s cards inspired you to scare up some of your scrappy stash and make something bootiful.  Ok, I am done…I could not resist.  Please follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Hi, I hope everyone is having a Grrreat day!  My project today features the Wild About Pumpkin Spice Latte digi set from Sunsational Stamps that you can access Here.

Wild About Pumpkin Spice Latte card

I colored this adorable tiger and his pumpkin spice latte with Copic markers.  The background was made by sponging on my two go-to Distress Oxide colors, Broken China and Cracked Pistachio.  I then spritzed it with some Perfect Pearls mist.  (Side note:  I accidentally spritzed EVERYTHING on my work surface EXCEPT the background when my nozzle got turned around, sigh…)  Anyway, back  to the project… I added some Doodlebug Fall Leaves Washi tape to the bottom to ground my little tiger and mounted this onto a black mat, that then was mounted onto a piece of Doodlebug Kraft/color cardstock and then the whole shebang was mounted onto the flip side of the Doodlebug kraft/color cardstock and added to the card base.  Finally I popped my critter onto the shimmery background, added the sentiment and voila!

We are featuring the Trick or Treat Set and you can find it Here.  My project was a step card.  I recently began making these, I love how many elements you can fit on them.

Trick or Treat Card

I stamped out the adorable ghost and put a happy face on him.  I stamped both pumpkins, one of them twice onto Doodlebug Halloween patterned paper and colored the stems and leaves with alcohol markers.  I added green wire to the tops of two of the pumpkins that I curled around a thin paintbrush handle to make the spindly vines on a pumpkin.  I added a mat of purple patterned Halloween paper that was also from that Doodlebug collection onto the black card base.  I cut three fence pieces to simulate a spooky grave yard using my Cricut.  The ‘Trick or Treat’ was white heat embossed onto a piece of black die cut cardstock I had in my stash.  Finally I added the cute little bats to the title.

Below is the stamp set, as you can see there are many adorable images in this set.  I love all the faces you can choose for your ghost and pumpkins, plus three sentiments and the bat…so much!

Alcohol Marker, Distress Inks, Doodlebug Designs, Faded Jeans, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Sunsational Stamps

“I want to be under the sea, in an Octopus’ garden in the shade.” This card is inspired by a Beatles song that my husband sings around the house ALL THE TIME.  🙂

Octopus’ Garden Birthday Fishes

I used the Sunsational Stamps super adorable digi set Ocean Critters 1 and 2 to make this shaker card.  I colored these cute little ocean critters with my alcohol markers.  For the background and frame I sponged on Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink onto watercolor paper and then spritzing it with water.  I let the water sit on it for about a minute before I pressed a paper towel onto the paper to dry.  I like the bubbly spots this technique leaves.

Close-up of Birthday Fishes

Inside of Birthday Fishes Card

I used a rectangle die to cut the center out, I adhered a piece of acetate to the backside of the frame and added foam tape around backside of frame.  I adhered the solid rectangle to the card base and added the shaker elements.  I colored very small versions of the starfish, shells and turtles to add as additional shaker elements along with the beads and sequins.  I placed the acetate layer on top, added the ocean critter on top of the acetate and the ‘Fishing You’ are from my Doodlebug Teeny Type stickers.

I stamped the inside with a Raisin Boat sentiment and added one more turtle, because he is my VERY favorite!
