Howdy fellow crafters, today I wanted to make a scrapbook layout, I have not had time lately to scrap and I missed it terribly.  I decided I wanted to join in on a challenge, and what better challenge than Scrap The Boys!  I recently announced that I am a new member on their card maker’s team, so I was excited to enter their scrapbook layout challenge.  The link for the challenge is Here and you can enter your own layout or just check out all the other entries and the Design Teams inspiration.

The theme is Great Outdoors, so I had a picture of my hubby being the captain of our pontoon at a lake in Arkansas. 😉

Boating Adventures Layout

The inspiration for the layout was from Get It Scrapped, Single and Pretty lessons by Debbie Hodge.  I love her lessons, they are so well explained and demonstrated.  I have been a member of Get It Scrapped for a long time and I learn something new every time I watch her.  🙂

I used Echo Park and Carta Bella papers, alphas and embellishments.  The View Finder stencil is from Balzer Designs and I sponged it with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink onto a base of Bazzill paper in Lagoon.  The cute little anchor tag is a die I received free with an order and I believe it was from Sunny Studios, but I am not positive.  I looked at their online shop and did not see it there any longer.

I hope you enjoyed today’s layout, thank you for stopping by, please follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram   so you don’t miss a thing!

Bazzill, Strawberry Jude Stamps, Sugar Pea Designs, Versamark

Peaceful greetings to all, today is our last Christmas card installment…I think…

I had to take the pictures at a funny angle due to the gold mirror board, it was totally reflecting me taking pictures.  😀

I used 2 pieces that are 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 of Nautical Navy by Bazzill.  I die cut a 2-3/4″ stitched square into the top layer.  I die cut the Nativity scene in both gold mirror board by Bazzill and pearl white cardstock using the NativityScape die by Sugar Pea Designs.  I used half of the white die cut piece adhered directly onto the back panel and I adhered the gold Nativity part directly behind the stitched window opening.  I then popped that panel up using foam tape to give the scene dimension.

I stamped the front panel with a sentiment from Strawberry Jude Stamps Tag It-Christmas stamp set, using Versamark ink and sprinkling it with gold embossing powder and heat it to set.  The inside was stamped using the Merry Christmas sentiment from the same set and heat embossed the same way.

I hope you enjoyed todays card, thank you for stopping by, please follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Sweet greetings to y’all, today I made an anniversary card for my hubby.  I used the adorable Woodsy Critters digi set from Sunsational Stamps that you can get Here. This set is packed with many adorable images…critters and their accessories.  🙂

I chose the bear…as you can tell from previous posts, I am partial to bears.  I colored him with Copic markers.  I also colored and die cut some adorable bees and hearts from one of my favorite Honey Bee Stamp sets Busy Bees and the sentiment was from the Bee-You-tiful Sentiments set, which I embossed with an older Ranger embossing powder in Lettuce Green.  The hive was made using two kinds of hearts from the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The tree branch was actually the tree from my Elizabeth Craft Designs die All Seasons Tree.  I am famous for using die cuts in a non traditional way…I like to get the most bang for my buck!

I added Wink of Stella shimmer to the bees wings and the hearts.  I used Ebony Nuvo Drops for his eyes.  I LOVE the look on his adorable little face.

I used a Lawn Fawn landscape die on some Bazzill cardstock in green (sorry, I forgot to take note of the color name) added that to sky blue cardstock.  Mounted that onto a piece of Kraft cardstock and put the whole kit-n-kaboodle onto the card base.  I forgot to mention that I had popped up the “beehive” and I did not adhere the leaves down, just the stem so the leaves have a little dimension.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Please follow the blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Bazzill, Distress Markers, Maya Road, Newton's Nook, Nuvo Pearl Drops, Ranger Archival Ink, Your Next Stamp

Autumn greetings to you!  Today I made a card for a thoughtful neighbor and dear friend.  She not only treated me to a lovely afternoon coffee at our local coffee shop but she also treated my family to her pumpkin bread, which is TO DIE FOR!  I thought it would be the perfect card to link up to the super fun Coffee Lover’s Bloghop for fall.  #fall2017clh

As you can see I used Newton’s Nook stamps from two separate sets and stamped them with Ranger Archival Black ink onto water color paper.  I used my Distress Markers to watercolor the images.  I added a few Nuvo Pearl drops and mounted the watercolor panel onto two layers of Bazzill cardstock in two shades of brown, added some Maya Road self adhesive lace ribbon.  I added a mat of Your Next Stamp Crazy For Coffee paper to a Bazzill card base, then I popped the watercolor layers up onto the card with foam tape and called it done!

Greetings, today I created another card for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop.

Coffee Helps Card

The first step in making this card was creating the background paper.  I used Raisin Boat’s Need for Tweed background stamp and stamped it in Pear ink from Close To My Heart onto light green Bazzill cardstock.  Next I stamped and colored the adorable stack of cups from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Tea Time stamp set.  I colored them with alcohol markers and used the matching die to cut it out.  The framework was die cut from Bazzill cardstock and I have to apologize, as I am not sure exactly who makes the wonky frames…it could be Taylored Expressions or Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I put my dies on magnetic sheets and organize them by subject and I throw the packaging away. 😦

I used a sentiment from the new Honey Bee Stamps Blaa Blaa Blaa set, heat embossed it and layered it onto the card.  Finally added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bubblegum and called it done!

Bazzill, Color Me Alpha, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Honey Bee Stamps

Greetings and salutations!  Today I needed a graduation card for a customer of mine that has a niece graduating from Iowa (Go Hawkeyes!)  This card took a long time to assemble because all the gold, black and yellow are inlaid…so it was tedious, but I had a blast making it.  I used all Bazzill paper, the label and frames are Elizabeth Craft Design and the Wow Moment was a die I got in a goodie bag from a Scrapbook Expo crop, so the company is unknown to me.  The gold die cut numbers and the letters in the name are from Honey Bee Stamps Color Me Alpha set.  I use these ALL the time!

I hope you liked the card for today.  Please follow us by clicking on the Follow Me button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

American Crafts, Bazzill, Carta Bella, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Kwik Kutz, Sizzix, Taylored Expressions

Hello, today I created a wedding card for a friend/customer who needed a wedding card in grays and pearl white.  I had a copy of the invitation, so I incorporated some elements from it into the card.

Wedding Card

I used one of my new Elizabeth Craft Designs dies and peel off gems.  I used various flower dies and cut a combination of large and small flowers using Bazzill silver cardstock, vellum that has a beautiful tiny floral white on white pattern and a pearly embossed cardstock.  I mixed and matched them and used little brads to hold the pieces together.  I cut the leaves out of the silver cardstock using a Sizzix die I got on clearance for $1 🙂  Can you say “Awesomesauce”?!

Elements of the Wedding Card

The card base is medium gray American Crafts heavyweight cardstock, and the patterned paper on the base is Carta Bella from the Paris Girl line…not sure if that is retired or not, I have had it for a while, and I LOVE every pattern in this collection, so I use it sparingly.  Needless to say, I am quite frugal with my supplies.

I did mat the patterned paper with black cardstock before mounting it on the card base. Finally I stamped a piece of the pearlized paper (which was also used for the ECD Entwined Circles) with a sentiment from Taylored Expressions, Lifetime of Love set.  I scored this adorable set for just $5.  I think it is still for sale on Taylor’s website for that price.  I cut the monogram out with Kwik Kutz Eliza letter set that my wonderful daughter got me (brand new) from a garage sale.  This episode is all about good deals.  HA!

Bonjour Mon Ami!  Today I created a birthday card for my dear friend using Fifi from Scrapping With Lisa Designs.  This stamp was created, for me, by request.  🙂  I needed a French girl with a beret for a project I was working on and Lisa Peters created this adorable gal with her little French poodle!  BTW, I HAVE a poodle…lucky coincidence?!

I colored her with my ShinHan alcohol markers and added Wink of Stella to the beret and her blouse to give it shimmer and a bit of a party feel.  I mounted it on black cardstock then teal cardstock, both by Bazzill.  I tied silver thread to the mat, added clear sequins and added the ‘Happy Birthday’ in black vinyl from my stash of Elizabeth Craft Design Peel-Off Stickers.  I then added foam tape to pop it up on the base, which is a retired pattern by Close To My Heart.  Voila, a card for Mon Ami!

Not sure if the shimmer is coming through in the picture, but trust me, it is rocking like a nightclub!

Oh the weather outside is ….. well, where I live it is actually pretty nice out, but that is NOT always the case.  HA!

Today I made a layout for a picture of my daughter catching snowflakes.  The photo was taken her freshman year at college, and where she went, they didn’t see much in the way of snow, most often it was ice.

In the photo of her, she is wearing a pretty pink hat and I colored the Mary Christmas image and another Catching Snowflakes (see last week) both of them from Sunsational Stamp Shop.  I die cut snowflakes from a Darice Snowflake Die.  I colored in the image with both Copic and ShinHan alcohol markers.  My Let It Snow stamp is an older hostess set from CTMH.  The images and the photo mat are cut from Bazzill Nautical Dark Blue cardstock and mounted onto Recollections Say Freeze paper line.  There was plenty of sequins snowflakes and Wink of Stella added here and there to give a shimmery, frosty feel.

Howdy-do to you!  Today I had to take a break from Christmas and holiday card making so I could create a birthday card for one of my dear friends.  I wanted to create a card using My Besties digi stamps by Sherri Baldy.  She has some adorable ones that are perfect for birthday cards.  I picked this one and colored her to match my friend’s looks and personality.  I hope you enjoy!

I used Glossy Accents to add condensation to the glass and to accentuate her pretty painted toe nails.  I used Copic and ShinHan alcohol markers to color in the image and then mottled a bit where her clothing was behind glass.  I added accent dots to add interest to many of the various elements of the design using a white gel pen.  The background was sponged with my fave background Distress Ink…Tumbled Glass.  The stamped panel is mounted on red Bazzill Cardstock and then that is mounted on a Bazzill yellow card base.
