Howl are you doing?  Hehe…  Well, Halloween is only a couple of days away, so I am wrapping up October with two more cards.  The first one was inspired by Amy Rysavy of Prairie Paper & Ink fame.  She wrapped a piece of cardstock with Microspore tape for her puppy mummy card, so I could not resist to adapt my version.

I used Newton’s Nook Boo Crew stamp set.  I colored Winston with alcohol markers, fussy cut him out and mounted him on my microspore tape wrapped cardstock, this in turn was matted on Doodlebug Beetle Black cardstock.  The base is made with Doodlebug October 31st patterned paper line (the line is so stinkin’ cute!)

Mummy Bear Card

The inside sentiment was stamped with a Sunsational Stamps Happy Halloween set.  The card base was made with Doodlebug Grass Green cardstock.  I believe the ribbon was from K&Co…but I have had it for so long, I can’t be sure.

The second card was made using Stampin’ Up’s Frightening Feline stamp.  I stamped it with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink onto black cardstock and clear heat embossed it.  I was going for a bit of a fluorescent look.

Scaredy Cat Card

I created a shaker and framed the shaker window with Doodlebug patterned paper from the October 31st line.  I used many embellishments from K&Co.  The bottom of the card was created with a piece of gray cardstock that I embossed with a brick Sizzix folder and I distressed it randomly with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I hope today’s cards inspired you to scare up some of your scrappy stash and make something bootiful.  Ok, I am done…I could not resist.  Please follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button and Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Alcohol Marker, Hero Arts, Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, today’s card was for a lady fighting cancer…for the second time.  A gal from one of my crafty groups asked for a “Card Shower” to cheer her up and give her encouragement.  I instantly knew what stamp sets I was going to use, they are both from Honey Bee Stamps.  I used the Busy Bee set and the Bee-you-tiful set.  I didn’t want the card to be maudlin, I wanted it to be light and encouraging, so these sentiments are perfect.

I used my Hero Arts mason jar die to cut a window into my top panel so I could make a shaker card.  I stamped the sentiment ‘Bee lieve’ onto the acetate window with Staz-On black ink.  I stamped the two smallest daisies and the three of smallest bees multiple times on some smooth white cardstock, colored them with my alcohol makers and cut them out using their coordinating dies.  I layered two foam pieces to form the shaker and filled with Honey Bee’s Raw Honey sequin mix.

I stamped the inside with the ‘Strong’, ‘Courageous’ and ‘Brave’ words from the Bee-You-Tiful set and used bees as the bullet points for these words of encouragement.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Please follow our blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Alcohol Marker, Art Philosophy, Bazzill, Close To My Heart, Copic, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Honey Bee Stamps, Lawn Fawn, Nuvo Crystal Drops, Ranger, Sunsational Stamps, Wink of Stella

Sweet greetings to y’all, today I made an anniversary card for my hubby.  I used the adorable Woodsy Critters digi set from Sunsational Stamps that you can get Here. This set is packed with many adorable images…critters and their accessories.  🙂

I chose the bear…as you can tell from previous posts, I am partial to bears.  I colored him with Copic markers.  I also colored and die cut some adorable bees and hearts from one of my favorite Honey Bee Stamp sets Busy Bees and the sentiment was from the Bee-You-tiful Sentiments set, which I embossed with an older Ranger embossing powder in Lettuce Green.  The hive was made using two kinds of hearts from the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The tree branch was actually the tree from my Elizabeth Craft Designs die All Seasons Tree.  I am famous for using die cuts in a non traditional way…I like to get the most bang for my buck!

I added Wink of Stella shimmer to the bees wings and the hearts.  I used Ebony Nuvo Drops for his eyes.  I LOVE the look on his adorable little face.

I used a Lawn Fawn landscape die on some Bazzill cardstock in green (sorry, I forgot to take note of the color name) added that to sky blue cardstock.  Mounted that onto a piece of Kraft cardstock and put the whole kit-n-kaboodle onto the card base.  I forgot to mention that I had popped up the “beehive” and I did not adhere the leaves down, just the stem so the leaves have a little dimension.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Please follow the blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Greetings, today I wanted to make an autumn card with one of my favorite woodland critters…a fox!  I am partial to foxes because my grand-pup is a Yorkie, but he looks just like a baby fox.  Swoon…  You can find Sunsational Stamps Woodsy Critters Here, this digi set is such a bargain!  You get so many adorable woodland animals plus a few extras!

Foxy Fall Card

I colored the fox and log with my alcohol markers and fussy cut them out.  I used Elizabeth Craft Designs All Season Tree dies to cut out the tree and autumn colored leaves.  I used a postage stamp style die for the blue (sky) background and mounted that all on a muted army green card base.  I adhered all the elements and popped the fox up with foam tape.

I hope you liked today’s card, and we would love it if you would follow the blog by clicking on the “Follow Me” button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Hi, I hope everyone is having a Grrreat day!  My project today features the Wild About Pumpkin Spice Latte digi set from Sunsational Stamps that you can access Here.

Wild About Pumpkin Spice Latte card

I colored this adorable tiger and his pumpkin spice latte with Copic markers.  The background was made by sponging on my two go-to Distress Oxide colors, Broken China and Cracked Pistachio.  I then spritzed it with some Perfect Pearls mist.  (Side note:  I accidentally spritzed EVERYTHING on my work surface EXCEPT the background when my nozzle got turned around, sigh…)  Anyway, back  to the project… I added some Doodlebug Fall Leaves Washi tape to the bottom to ground my little tiger and mounted this onto a black mat, that then was mounted onto a piece of Doodlebug Kraft/color cardstock and then the whole shebang was mounted onto the flip side of the Doodlebug kraft/color cardstock and added to the card base.  Finally I popped my critter onto the shimmery background, added the sentiment and voila!

Alcohol Marker, Broken China, Distress Oxide Ink, Fossilized Amber, Sunsational Stamps

Hi there fellow crafters, I was looking at the plants today and noticed how the colors are starting to change.  Not quite the reds, oranges and vibrant yellows of fall, but the typical flowers and foliage of late summer, Black Eyed Susan, Strawflowers, Sunflowers and whatever those gorgeous purple leafy things are…I am clearly not a botanist.  So today I thought we could take a peek at the beginning of our early autumn palate with a gold embossed vellum card.

Life is Good Autumn Card

I did something completely different today, I printed out the digi images I wanted in my scene and I traced them onto the vellum with pencil.  Next I retraced the images with my embossing pen, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set it.  I almost left it plain, I loved the look so much, but decided to color the images in as planned with alcohol markers.  You have to color the back side of the vellum for it to look good.  The images I used were Squirrel with Fence and Squirrel with Pumpkins & Sunflower, you can find them Here.

I mottled the petals to give them interest and I colored the entire center with 4 or 5 different colors, but instead of flicking or coloring I used dots to replicate the center of a sunflower.  I added lines to the acorns and just colored the remaining images as usual.

I sponged Broken China and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks onto the card base and  then stamped it with “Life is Good” stamp from one of my Close To My Heart sets.  I added Matte Multi Media glue to the image outlines (so it would not show through the vellum) and adhered it to the inked card base.  I added three little Queen & Co Ice bling to highlight the sentiment and called it a day.

Please head on over to Sunsational Stamps September Challenge, the theme is Fall.  You can get there from Here

Alcohol Marker, Distress Inks, Faded Jeans, Sunsational Stamps, Tea Stain

Howdy!  We are well into summer and a lot of folks are taking that last little trip before school starts again.  Now I am not a camping person, although I love camping themed things, but my Brother-in-law and his family are avid campers, so I thought this card would be so much fun to send to them!

Happy Camper

I used the adorable Camp More Worry Less digi set from Sunsational and colored in the images with my alcohol markers and then I fussy cut out all the elements and set aside.

The background was made by sponging on Faded Jeans and Tea Stain Distress Inks that I then spattered with water and dabbed dry to give it a starry sky effect

Close-up of Happy Camper

I adhered the cut out elements to the card, popping up the campfire and camper.  I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  To shop, please follow this link to Sunsational Stamps. Alcohol Marker, Basic Grey, Copic, Crescent Tag Topper, Distress Inks, Fishtail Banner, Sunny Studios, Sunsational Stamps

Hello there!  I am continuing on my Christmas in July mode, I knew I was going to need some extra tags for the holidays and I wanted to use my new image from Sunsational Stamps, Snowman Soup Set which you can find Here.  This set is so cute, besides having several cups of wintry delight to choose from, there are many sentiments and adorable faces you can add to your snowmen.

Snowman Soup Tags

To make the tag I used Sunny Studios Crescent Tag Topper Dies and their Fishtail Banner Dies.  I absolutely love these in combination with one another.  The tag top has several sizes to choose from and you can make them as long or as short at you like.  The toppers also come with adorable little reinforcer dies in various shapes, I used the circle and star for my tags.  The Fishtail Banner dies come in four styles, and I used them all!  They have deep tick marks in each die to make lining them up straight on your project a breeze!

The paper I chose was Basic Grey, from my stash, obviously an oldie since they have been out of business for a while now.  I love finding stuff in my stash I completely forgot about…it is like Christmas morning when that happens.  Pun intended.  😉

Snowman Soup Tags

I colored my snowman with Copics and I shaded the cups with Distress Inks.  The white base was scored 1/8 inch from edge on all sides to give it subtle interest.  I popped up the mugs on the front of the tag, added bakers twine (from the dollar bin at Target) and voila!

Remember there is still time to enter our July Challenge, just upload any Christmas themed project you like and you will be entered in a drawing for a fabulous prize from Sunsational Stamps.  Click Here to get to the challenge.  Good luck!

Alcohol Marker, Cracked Pistachio, Distress Oxide Ink, Salty Ocean, Wink of Stella, YNS Challenge 68, Your Next Stamp

Just popping in for a quick card I made today.  I used the adorable YNS Bitty Bugs for the YNS Challenge #68 (that link takes you right there!)  I went with the color challenge with my card.  The background is my Distress Oxide Inks in Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio…and I spattered it with water, that is the fun part!

Bitty Bugs Card

Close-up of the cute little bugs

I cut the clouds using the Spring Showers Lawn Cuts by Lawn Fawn and the grass border is also Lawn Fawn (I think…)  I colored these adorable bugs with my alcohol markers, stamped the sentiment inside one of my clouds, added Wink of Stella on the insect wings and called it complete!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out Your Next Stamp blog, they have some great inspiration!

Pow! Zam! Boom!  I am here today to show you a card I made for a fun challenge on the Your Next Stamp blog.  You can access Challenge #68 Here. and this is my card.

Little Darling Super Hero for Challenge #68

I absolutely LOVE the images in this set by Your Next Stamp, it is called Little Darling Super Heros.  There is also a little Super Hero girl in this set!  I will use her is another card later on.

I colored my little hero with alcohol markers and styled him after my husband (when he was a little boy).  He is my SUPERHERO!

The adorable mask has it’s own stamp and die, so you can use a mask on your little superhero or not.  I stamped mine in Barn Door Distress Oxide ink and clear heat embossed it to give it added shine and dimension.  The city skyline behind him was die cut from a Paper Smooches Super 2 die.  Then I stamped the sentiment and stars and white heat embossed them.

Here is a closer look at the card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed the card.  Please follow our blog and Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram.
